When a Two-Year-Old Loves You…
You’re going to get a lot of hugs.
You’re going to be offered the stickiest and grimiest of foods so many times that you occasionally just go ahead and give in with a big “THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING!!!” against your better judgment.
You’re going to be gifted rocks and sticks and pinecones and stickers galore.
You’re going to most frequently visit the library, the park, and the fish at Wal-Mart.
You’re going to blow bubbles and build block towers and shout “vroom vroooooom!” while you rub a miniature truck across your carpet.
You’re going to be covered with kisses any time you’re sitting down and you’re going to be asked to be held up-up-up if you’re standing.
You’re going to be greeted with an excited shout of your name and the pitter-patter of tiny feet as you walk through the door.
You’re going to wake up before 6:30am every single day. And you’re not going to mind it.
You’re going to kiss a lot of owies.
You’re going to feel like the biggest, strongest, smartest, funnest, prettiest. You’re going to feel like the happiest and the luckiest and most tired. You’re going to know with absolute certainty that you are loved.
